La Bottega Marino located on Santa Monica Boulevard is one of my favorite Italian Delis. It fits all my requirements: tasty, cheap, and most importantly is close by (or delivers!!). It's got a wide range of selections from pannini's to pizza's, salads to desserts. And the coffee is pretty dang good, too.
It's a little hole in the wall of a place but I enjoy spending time drinking wine and eating up the delectable tomato concoction that they put together as a spread for the bread. and I hate tomatoes. ugh. I brought in a wine (Pinot Grigio) that I bought from Costco for like $8. It was pretty bad. My waiter, Gregory, tried it and said it was pretty crappy. Went to the back and brought us a better bottle and said, "here, I'll trade you..."
